Plan a month of content without starting from scratch

Digital content planning on a laptop and smartphone

A blank content calendar can make every post feel like a separate project. Start with the questions your customers already ask, then build a repeatable structure around them.

Begin with one business priority

Decide what the month’s content should support: introducing a service, explaining an offer or helping people understand how you work. A clear priority makes it easier to choose useful topics and leave unrelated ideas for another month.

Collect questions from real conversations

Write down the questions that come up in enquiries, sales calls and customer conversations. Group them into four useful themes: understanding the problem, exploring solutions, seeing your process and taking the next step.

For example, a video-production studio could explain how to prepare a brief, what happens on shoot day, how editing feedback works and what a client receives at delivery.

Build a small, repeatable weekly plan

  • One post that answers a common question.
  • One example that shows your process or approved work.
  • One useful tip connected to your service.
  • One clear invitation to enquire or learn more.

This is a starting structure, not a required posting frequency. Adjust it to the time and material you have.

Create in batches, then review

Draft related captions together and prepare visuals in a single session. Check the calendar for repetition, unclear claims and missing approvals before scheduling anything. Assign an owner and a review date to each item.

Keep a record of useful responses

At the end of the month, note which topics prompted relevant questions or conversations. Use those observations to refine the next calendar. A sustainable plan should make your message clearer and your production workload easier to manage.

Turn the calendar into a clear monthly scope

If you need support creating and managing content, compare DK’s monthly digital marketing packages. Each plan has its own deliverables; GST is included and advertising spend is separate. Share your content sources, business priority and approval process in a project enquiry so the scope can be agreed before work begins.
